A Memorable 40th Anniversary Conference Brought the IIC Partners Network Together in Helsinki

40 Years of International Collaboration

The IIC Partners Global Conference & AGM 2026, held in Helsinki in October, brought together executive search and leadership professionals from 23 countries across five continents. The event marked a significant milestone for the network as members celebrated the 40th anniversary of IIC Partners while also looking ahead to the future of leadership and executive search.

As a founding member of the IIC Partners network, JFP Executive Search had the honor of hosting the event. The conference provided an excellent platform for international dialogue, the exchange of experiences, and discussions around the opportunities and challenges shaping organisations and leadership teams worldwide.

Leadership, Innovation, and the Future of Executive Search

Throughout the week, participants explored topics including leadership, innovation, talent market developments, business growth, and the evolving role of executive search in an increasingly dynamic business environment. Featured speakers included board professional Laura Raitio, Tuomas Auvinen, Dean of the School of Arts, Design and Architecture at Aalto University, Susanna Rahkamo, Co-Founder and Research Director at Yellow Method, and Kaisa Arrateig, Director of High-Performance Sports at Helsinki Figure Skating Club and Head Coach of Helsinki Rockettes. In addition, numerous members of the network shared valuable insights and best practices on the evolving executive search profession.

A Growing and Strengthening Network

During the IIC Partners Annual General Meeting, five new member firms were admitted to the network from Singapore, Bucharest, Montreal, Auckland, and Munich. These additions further strengthen the global reach and expertise of IIC Partners.

Finnish Business, Culture, and Experiences

Alongside the conference programme, participants had the opportunity to experience Finnish business, culture, and hospitality. Highlights of the week included a visit to Marimekko’s headquarters and production facilities, a private tram tour through Helsinki, and a variety of networking activities designed to foster collaboration across regions and industry practice groups.

For many international guests, the Finnish sauna experience and a swim in the Baltic Sea in October were particularly memorable. The conference culminated in a 40th Anniversary Gala Dinner at Valkoinen Sali, crowned by an unforgettable performance from singer Saara Aalto.

The conference once again demonstrated the value of bringing together professionals from different markets and industries to exchange ideas, expertise, and experiences. The discussions, new insights, and strengthened relationships developed throughout the week provide a strong foundation for future collaboration across the network.
